Belmont Boarding Kennels, Cattery and Dog Grooming Service is situated five minutes from central Whanganui yet in a rural environment. Our facility is in a country garden setting. No boredom here!

The kennel situation allows the dogs to be part of a very social atmosphere with the comings and goings of clients. The view from the kennels is of other animals grazing in the fields opposite and golfers to and from Whanganui Golf Course (Belmont).

JENNY and EUAN SMITH have owned and operated Belmont Boarding Kennels and Cattery for over 25 years and built the cattery 18 years ago. In that time we have met many fabulous dogs, cats and their dedicated owners.

We are happy to pick up and deliver your pet back home to you. Our facility is never left unattended at ant time!

We own, show and breed a very spoilt family of Chow Chows, many of whom have become NZ champions.

When booking your cat or dog please remember to have them flead and wormed with vet-approved medications. And their vaccinations must be up to date! Please bring your vaccination book with you.

All dogs must be on a lead and cats must be in a cage or other suitable carrier.

Please do not bring bones, hide chew bones, or raw meat of any description.
